Job Summary:
- The Addiction Treatment Nurse – RN role is part of the Nursing team which supports ETS’ mission by uplifting the humanity and dignity of each person and walk alongside them on their journey.
- This role makes a critical difference at ETS through safe and efficient dispensing of doses of methadone to clients.[RE1]
- The position is full time onsite, the location is ETS’ Seattle Mobile Unit, and the hours are 5 AM – 1:30 PM; some weekend shifts are required.
- The annual salary range for this position is $74,880 to $83,200. ETS strives to achieve pay equity and transparency as part of our goal to create an equitable workplace.

What you contribute to this role – Responsibilities:
- Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.
- Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.
- Dispense appropriate methadone doses, in accordance with clinic procedures.
- Record all doses dispensed and account for all methadone used during a Dispensary shift.
- Accurately record patient details in the electronic medical records system.
- Attend such meetings as directed by the Dispensary Operations Manager(s) and/or Nurse Supervisor, and report to the Medical Director as required.
- Monitor charts for dose discrepancies and take corrective action when needed.
- Participate in Team meetings and provide such data as needed by the Team for inclusion of individualized service plan.
- Monitor tuberculosis testing for all patients and assigned units, including making outside referrals when appropriate.

Requirements
What you bring to this role – Qualifications:
Education and/or Relevant and Lived Experience:
- Nurses at ETS must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and have a current Washington State RN Nurse License
- This role requires an NPI (National Provider Identifier) number. This number is used for administrative and financial transactions.
- Addiction medicine or behavioral health experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- An understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to multi-task or quickly switch between tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret general business correspondence, policies and procedures, referral information, financial documentation and applicable government regulations
