About the role

As a member of Allianz Group, Allianz Global Benefits specializes in arranging and packaging local Employee Benefits insurance solutions into global programs and operates a worldwide network of insurers in many countries. These solutions are provided to multinational corporations and global brokers and encompass the full range of corporate protection and pension products and services available within the network. Headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, it has on-site experts based in regional Allianz offices across multiple continents.

 

The role is part of the MEB Underwriting Team and is responsible to ensure an efficient and timely underwriting for schemes where we act as risk takers or provide central UW opinion for captive schemes (where required) and oversee onboarding with the Network of Insurers (geographical split) for all local group policies within the global Risk Management programs including the lines of business Life, Accident, Disability and Medical.

 

 

Tasks/Responsibilities:

 

  • Case Underwriting and Pricing oversight of Global employees' benefits pool/Global Underwriting schemes  / Captives where we keep part of risk
  • Provide Underwriting training/guidance locally and develop/support local capabilities
  • Develop/consolidate product capabilities and technical assumptions by market
  • Providing a Central Underwriting opinion as a service to captives
  • UW data collection entry point for initial data assessment and case level UW assessment  based on geographical allocation of the UW team - Interpret and understand UW data  to provide any insights derived on data quality and completeness
  • Consolidate into a standard format the data received for pricing purposes from clients, brokers and network partners with regards to RFPs, Onboarding and Renewals.
  • Support e-quotation business owner in ensuring data quality in quotation process by performing data& reports plausibility reviews

 

Requirements/Skills/Experience:

 

  • Excellent technical background in corporate Protection / Medical underwriting and product knowledge of global schemes (Pools/Global Underwriting/Captives)
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in very complex environment
  • Team player with ability to work well under pressure

 

Preselection criteria:

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Up to 3 years of relevant experience in Insurance data management and analytics either in an insurance company, reinsurer or consultant - prior experience in Employee Benefits UW in local, global or regional position will be considered as an advantage
Advanced MS Excel proficiency as well as proficiency in full MS Office Suite

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Degree in Finance (with specialty in Insurance), or Mathematics & Statistics
REQUIRED LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English - must
Fluent in French would be an advantage
