Job Overview

Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a PRN / day shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit.  Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives.  Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. Hours: This is a PRN day shift position and will work 12 hour shifts.

 

Responsibilities

The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.  The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.  This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.  Must have excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching.

 

Qualifications

Education

BSN degree required or in progress

Certification/Licensure

RN License

BLS

Experience

2+ years bedside RN experience preferred

Pediatric and ortho experience a plus
