Job Overview
The position involves developing, improving, and delivering training to individuals in leadership and professional capacities. Recognizing the significant challenges faced by first-time supervisors, this role facilitates a smooth transition into leadership roles by promoting the practice of effective supervisory skills. This position also has ownership of the site’s mentorship programs and the professional training program.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Depending on current certifications and experience, this role could require the selected candidate to become certified in Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI), Instructional Module Design (IMD), as well as various necessary certifications in Clifton Strengths-Finder, Myers-Briggs and Franklin Covey.
Deliver Training (25%)
Training Preparation (15%)
• Build and maintain participants’ and instructor materials
• Maintain inventory of supplies
• Schedule class sessions and pre-class work to participants
• Set up classrooms with tables, chairs, PowerPoint, Videos, name tents, etc.
• Break down classrooms
• Enter completions in Learning Management System
• Report status to management
Manage Curricula (10%)
• Report out on training progress quarterly
• Manage New Supervisor Curriculum (Classes and Follow-Up Activities)
• Continually improve the Curriculum
• Plan and host graduation celebrations for new supervisors
• Manage Continuing Leadership Education for experienced Team Managers
Additional Program Ownership: (25%)
• Leadership Mentor Program Ownership
• Professional Mentor Program Ownership
• Professional Training Program Coordination
Develop/Maintain Courses (15%)
• Continually improve all courses
o Seek feedback on classes and needs of the site workforce
o Modify and develop courses
Participate on Learning Services Team (5%)
• Lead and attend Safety Huddles and Learning Services Team Meetings
• Perform shared Safety & Health responsibilities within team
• Help set up classrooms for other groups
Other Duties (5%)
• Serve on plant-wide teams (e.g., Leadership and Professional Development Team)
• Consult on other site training needs.
• Lead book studies
• Host and coordinate occasional educational vendors and unique educational events
Qualifications
Skills and Competencies
Required:
• 3+ Years Training Development: Proven experience developing training curriculum, including ability to assess training needs as well as evaluation and monitoring of training.
• Presentation and Training Delivery: Ability to convey information and concepts through various methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Organized: Ability to coordinate, track, schedule, and prepare materials for training and mentorship programs.
