Candidate Description:

AOL is seeking an energetic, passionate, strategic, and entrepreneurial Principal Product Manager to lead the roadmap for Age Tech across AOL Web and App. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate the AOL experience, and reimagine the internet for millions of people in the 55+ demographic, working alongside a talented team of product managers, engineers, designers, researchers and editors.

Job Requirements: 

  • Inform, develop, and execute a differentiated and consumer-centric product vision and strategy that helps AOL curate a digital destination that brings the best of web to older adults, empowering them to live, connect, discover, stay safe and thrive online as they age

  • Understand the aging demographic and the opportunities they present, and innovate to serve the age tech ecosystem 

  • Strong Design sense and understanding of UX for the target audience

  • Develop and execute against ambitious product roadmaps, priorities and launch schedules while driving for relentless innovation and excellence to help establish AOL as a leader in the longevity economy

  • Optimize initiatives to maximize customer product adoption and ongoing engagement

  • Translate user needs and insights into product requirements by distilling user problems, writing hypotheses and describing desired outcomes

  • Work closely with marketing and sales to define and execute go-to-market plans

  • Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment

Required Skills/Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years building large-scale, consumer-facing experiences and/or products

  • Prior experience in the Age Tech space is a plus

  • Deep analytical skills. You value instrumentation and data insights as much as you value design, user experience and quality 

  • Technically confident. You have intelligent conversations with engineers about architecture, system design and technology choices

  • Able to present a clear and inspiring product vision to the team, articulate the problems you are trying to solve and explain why it is important that we solve that problem

  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrable abilities in data-driven decision making, roadmap prioritization and superb design sensibility 

  • Experience developing and leveraging relationships in the media industry to advance market knowledge and influence product opportunities
