Part-Time Information Technology Aide

JOB SUMMARY

The Information Technology Aide assists with the deployment of new workstations and equipment installations. The technician will be responsible for delivering and setting up new systems for employees across the City of Conroe, ensuring all systems are up and running efficiently. This includes managing the disposal inventory and answering inbound calls to the service desk as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Experience with imaging, deploying, and configuring desktops in a corporate environment. Previous experience in desktop support or similar role helpful but not required.

Special Requirements:

Certification with CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ preferred, or equivalent experience. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and network setup and configurations.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and application installation.
• Working knowledge of common office software including Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift, assemble, and move computer equipment as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, crouching, feeling, fingering, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
