The Advanced Products and Solutions Team of Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Senior Principal Software Engineer with deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience to support new product development at Raytheon.

The ideal candidate’s duties will include:

• Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
• Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
• Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar mode independent functions and capabilities, using various languages, tools, applications.
• Strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal and external
• Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews
• Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
• Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
• Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
• Work Location: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus
• Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.

Basic Qualifications include:

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in embedded software development
• Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools in radar-development software is required.
• Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS
• Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
• Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system
• Experience working within Defense-contracting environments as this position will be participating in customer-meetings.
• Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of relevant software development experience
• Clearance: Must have current active DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security clearances.

The salary range for this role is 123,000 USD - 259,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
