2nd Shift Monday to Friday - 2:30PM to 11:00PM - 10% shift differential
Pay Range: $20.93 to $31.39

- Senior Manufacturing Technician, Liquid Formulation, 2nd Shift
- This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group.
- Competitive Pay: shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift positions

A Day in the Life:
- Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment.
- Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to assure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities.
- Calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment. Identify and conduct equipment troubleshooting for common failure modes.
- Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms.
- Participate in Safety, Quality, and Productivity discussions. Assists in the ownership and actions tasks for projects. Solve problems applying departmental knowledge.
- Complete and maintain compliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements. Subject Matter Expert for documentation and practices within department.
- Complete a variety of complex and difficult tasks related to manufacturing of cell culture media. Perform related duties as required to meet the business goals and requirements.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is strongly preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output. Demonstrated proficiency in completing and training others in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.
- Work with support groups for assistance to complete different project initiatives.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 50 pounds and may be required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties. Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves. PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, and full/half-face respirators.
- Availability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.
