POSITION SUMMARY: The Logistics Coordinator oversees the daily operations of material logistics in coordination with the supply and material manager. The incumbent has command and oversight with respect to the efficient and timely movement of goods and materials, while simultaneously developing and implementing strategies for maximizing productivity, and ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The incumbent is responsible for managing inventory across various departments as well as the inventory input system.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the design and modification of logistics processes including customer facing and back-office procedures, in coordination with leadership.
Analyze and identify issues or gaps in logistic operations at task order levels. Take responsibility for determining root causes, preparing resolutions, and effectuating the implementation of revised procedures.
Process and distribute proper documentation to customers including sales invoices, packing lists, and BOLs.
Manage intraday inbound and outbound tasks through data management and develop strong relationships with vendors, distributors, brokers, and transportation providers to ensure timely receipt and delivery of materials. Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and security standards.
Track and prepare analysis of logistics performance metrics.
Performs other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of internal systems and processes.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
No specific certifications required, but willingness to pursue relevant certifications (e.g., APICS) is a plus.
Knowledge of office standards and inner workings.
High aptitude for problem solving.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, connect analysis to actionable solutions, and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
Experience processing shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
2-4 years of experience with inbound and outbound shipment logistics
Pay Range:
