The Global Supply Management (GSM) Supply Management Solutions (SMS) Lean Sourcing & Digital Transformation (LS&DT) Team, is at the forefront of internal supply management process excellence, program and project management, supply enablement, and partners with enterprise GSM and Global Operations and Supply Chain (GO&SC) organizations to employ industry best practices, drive process standardization, and collaborate on focused improvements that enable internal stakeholders to effect and enhance overall supply management performance positively.At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. As the Sr. Business Process Improvement Program Manager (PM), you will report to the LS&DT Director within the Supply Management Solutions organization headquartered at the Medtronic Operational Headquarters (OHQ) in Fridley, Minnesota. You will serve as the supply management program and project leader, lean six sigma facilitator, coach, and lead consultant for all practices, processes, and standards development across SMS and GSM. You will bring your experience to drive project execution and collaboration cross-functionally with global teams, where success will ensure supply management stakeholders continue to maintain and deploy best-in-class processes and standards that enhance the overall safety and well-being of our customers and patients worldwide.
As the Sr. Business Process Improvement Program Manager, you will:
Lead and leverage global cross functional programs, projects, and/or tasks in the development and improvement of supply management best practices, processes, and standards.
Plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives (such as DMAIC A3, Lean, or Six Sigma).
Organize, lead, and facilitate global cross-functional program teams and continuous improvement events (i.e., problem solving, kaizens, workshops, etc.).
Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Diagram and evaluate existing processes, collecting data to identify the root cause of problems.
Measure performance against process requirements, aligning improvement to performance shortfalls.
Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
Deliver presentations and training courses, including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes.
Communicates team progress.
Perform cost and benefit analyses.
Must Haves
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Haves
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt in training or certification, or Black Belt certification, and application experience.
Experience in the facilitation, coaching, training, application, and deployment of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with MDT supply management policies and procedures, documentation development and implementation, and management systems.
Program leadership and management experience. Requires mastery-level knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within supply management.
Mastery-level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline, with a broad understanding of other areas within the organization.
PMP or other project management certification.
Experience in the medical device industry.
Experience with process mining tools (e.g. Celonis) and automated workflow development (Streamlit, PowerApp).
