Position DescriptionThe Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic visioning, planning and operational leadership to ensure continued growth of affiliate client base, market share, revenue, and visual presence in the community. This role is critical in leading multiple departments including but not limited to, Patient Care Operations, Revenue Cycle, Purchasing, Data Analytics, as well as Compliance, Quality and Risk Management functions of the affiliate while remaining consistent with overall mission. This role with collaborate closely with facility functions. In addition, this position is responsible for high level ambassadorial functions representing the affiliate, incorporating the fund development and advocacy agenda into the day to day business operations. This leader will fully embody a commitment to race equity; evidenced in all interactions with PPMI colleagues, external stakeholders and in their supervision of staff. Essential Functions:Leadership ·       Primary Responsibilities:·       Demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission and core workplace values—respect for all individuals, effective communication, teamwork and collaboration, accountability, and responsibility—while contributing to a welcoming and respectful environment for all employees, patients, and partners.·       Show a strong commitment to recognizing the effort required from our employees to ensure that all individuals have access to health care, no matter what. ·       Implements general policies as established by the Board of Directors and/or CEO; directs their administration and execution.·       Plans, develops and approves medical services operational policies, programs, procedures and methods in concert with general policies.·       Provide leadership to ensure operational, customer service and clinical excellence within the context of the Affiliate’s financial expectations and work to improve the fiscal performance of the organization.·       Provide leadership for the purposes of performance improvement in activities and operations       of all health centers. Make operational recommendations to ensure each center meets its performance goals while maintaining excellent customer service and patient care.·       Represents the Affiliate, as appropriate, in its relationships with MSO and ancillary organizations, funding organizations, affiliate donors/ volunteers/ clients, government agencies, education and healthcare institutions, national and local professional and other similar groups.·       Offers insight, ingenuity and coaching to maintain affiliate values and mission to its clients, its staff, and the community.·       Serves as the Affiliate’s Compliance Officer and leads the Compliance, Quality and Risk Management function to ensure compliance with the CQRM Program, federal, state, PPFA and funder requirements.   The Affiliate Compliance Officer oversees all compliance including but not limited to health care compliance, ensuring the affiliates CQRM program monitors and ensures prevention, detection and correction of any health care fraud and abuse.·       Demonstrates a commitment to race equity.
