Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management, and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

We're looking for:

• A team member with high work ethic, positive attitude, and punctuality
• Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and safety before, during, and after surgeries.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery, including administering preoperative medications and performing routine health checks.
• Prior experience in surgery is required. 
• Exceptional customer service skills with precise communication abilities
• Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
• Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
• Proficiency in sample collection, processing, and laboratory tests
• Skill in positioning and capturing radiographs
• A self-starter with the desire to advance one's knowledge and skillset
• Minimum 1-year experience preferred

This role is ideal for a compassionate individual with a strong interest in veterinary medicine, particularly those looking to assist with surgeries and surgical care.
