Position Overview:

The Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) invites well qualified candidates to apply for the position of Manager of Basic and Part-Time Training.  The ideal candidate for this position will have prior law enforcement experience as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can develop and maintain positive and effective professional relationships, be highly organized, and be capable of multi-tasking to keep up with the demands of a busy and growing agency. Strong supervision and employee motivation skills are a must. Essential Functions

  • Under general direction of the Deputy Director of Training, serves as the Manager of Basic and Part-Time Training.
  • Organizes, plans, and evaluates the PartTime Basic Training Program.
  • Serves as full line supervisor.
  • Serves as a technical expert and speaks on behalf of the Deputy Director of Training regarding programmatic policies and procedures for the Basic and PartTime Training Programs.
  • Conducts special and routine projects, often of a sensitive and confidential nature, for the Deputy Director of Training and Executive Director.
