General Summary: The Team Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting various foster care services (regular, specialized, therapeutic and CDH)—both formal and informal—by providing leadership in staff training and supervision, caseload support, and administrative support in core functional areas to the designated Supervisor. This position assists in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that promote the treatment, safety, permanency, and well-being of children and young adults in foster care, in accordance with Arizona's Foster Care, Tribal, AHCCCS and DDD standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Training and Development:
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff members in various policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and supervision to team members to support skill development and performance improvement.
• Monitor staff compliance with documentation and service delivery standards, offering feedback and support as needed.
• Facilitate team meetings, training, and workshops in coordination with the Supervisor.
Caseload and Program Support:
• Provide direct case management support when needed, including client contact, documentation, and service coordination.
• Assist with coverage for staff absences or high caseload demands to ensure continuity of services.
• Monitor case progress and help troubleshoot barriers in service delivery with staff and leadership.
• Asist staff in keeping the families in compliance with OLR rules and regulations.
• Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Regulatory Standards.
Administrative Support to Supervisors:
• Assist the Supervisor with reviewing and preparing reports for referring agencies.
• Assist in the follow-up on quality-of-care concerns.
• Help track and follow up on performance metrics, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
• Support internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and data collection activities.
• Serve as a point of contact for staff inquiries in the absence of Supervisors, escalating issues appropriately.
Other:
• Participate in monthly provider meetings.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings, and weekly supervision with EFC Supervisor.
• Responsible for following any policies, procedures, and controls established by the organization, the HIPAA Privacy Officer, and/or the HIPAA Security Officer regarding access to, protection of, and the use of the PHI.
• Maintains an approved and flexible schedule, and acceptable level of attendance.
• Performs other duties as needed in relation to program operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field
• Minimum Experience Required: 1 years’ experience in foster care or behavioral health
REGULATORY:
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Able to pass 5 panel drug test & submit to regular screening
• Valid AZ DPS Level I fingerprint clearance card (must maintain valid card throughout employment)
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must maintain throughout employment).
• Current, valid Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements
• Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
