The Rubrik Customer Advocacy team is looking for a Community Manager to lead and grow Rubrik’s customer community, The Guardians. As the Guardians leader, you will be responsible for the global program’s strategy, growth, engagement, and results.
In addition to making the Guardians community a dynamic, engaging, and informative destination for community members, you will work closely with Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams to educate and inform customers about new features and opportunities with the Rubrik product portfolio. You’ll collaborate with our customer community members to bring new ideas, features and feedback to our products and strategy, as well as develop and publish content to help new and prospective users understand that power for Rubrik products.
This is a high-impact role and the ideal candidate has a penchant for customer success and engagement, technical prowess, an eye for detail, tolerance for change, and a love of data-driven decision making. As the program leader, you will be responsible for driving the results and impact of the Community, including metrics and read-outs to leadership.
This role reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Global Customer Advocacy.
Your Impact/What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Develop, implement, and lead Rubrik community short and long-term strategy, plan, and roadmap with a focus on engagement
- Oversee the day-to-day Guardians community program including supporting existing members and the recruitment and onboarding of new members, building strong relationships with members
- Launch and work closely with our most active and enthusiastic community members, The Titans, to create community-led initiatives while providing support and resources
- Collaborate with teams across Rubrik to create community content, engagement opportunities, product updates and feature requests
- Manage the Rubrik presence and community engagement on user review sites, including Gartner Peer Insights and TrustRadius
- Identify, write and develop a portfolio of community-generated user stories and/or speakers that showcase the power of Rubrik and the prowess of the Guardians community
- Support the sales team by maintaining and identifying referenceable account lists/logos
- Act as subject matter expert on core community programs, features, and metrics
- Participate and lead a Community-led User Group Program: supporting new and existing user group chapters, supporting chapter leaders, and driving post event engagement
- Generate excitement and adoption across the community and internally at Rubrik
- Be a respected and visible steward of the Rubrik brand in all community interactions
- Drive growth in community/user groups membership and activity by identifying trends, opportunities, and gaps through measurement, monitoring, and comprehensive reporting on community metrics and KPI’s
- Work closely with the Influitive team to hold regular business reviews and develop new initiatives that support company goals.
Ideal Background (Experience You’ll Need/Requirements):
- 4+ years of relevant work experience successfully building and growing online customer communities and customer marketing
- Bring a unique vision for growing and elevating the Rubrik community
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of best practices in driving user engagement, retention, and acquisition
- Knowledge and experience orchestrating in-person/virtual user groups and community events
- Strong understanding of community metrics and KPI’s, and experience building reports that deliver community insights and recommendations on strategies to achieve marketing goals
- Strong project management skills
- Experience working with Influitive, Khoros or other relevant community platform
- Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal - you’ll be authoring and publishing materials to the community
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Self-starter and creative thinker with an ability to work highly independently
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- A natural curiosity and passion for learning
- BA/BS in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
