Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Services

As a VHA Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) you will cover the range of nurse anesthetist services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the Joint Commission.
Contracted Position:
Six months (estimated: 09-01-2024 to 02-28-2025), with an option to extend contract services by up to six months, are exercised at the government's sole discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Master's degree or doctorate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- A current license to practice nursing in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property. All licenses held by the key personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Contractor's CRNA(s) who have current, full, and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered for the purposes of this contract.
- A current CV that identifies the provider's education and professional qualifications commensurate with CRNA duties and a minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience as a CRNA within the last three (3) years (NOTE: VA experience is desirable).

- Normal hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Off-hours Coverage: The contractor must make the CRNA(s) available on call during all hours when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. NOTE: Each CRNA may expect to cover 25% of facility CRNA's off-hours coverage.
- Weekday Coverage: Monday - Friday; 3:30 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. of the following day (15.5-hour shifts)
- Weekend Coverage: Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day (24-hour shifts).
- Holiday Coverage: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. of the following day (24-hour shifts).
- On-call providers must be available within 15 minutes by phone from the initial contact attempt and on-site within 60 minutes of the initial contact attempt.
