IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the operations of task orders under the FDA’s enterprise help desk BPA by overseeing activities in customer service, contract management, and performance management. You will lead a technical and customer service delivery team to ensure the task orders are well managed, achieving, or exceeding SLAs, and working within a specified budget.
Location: This position is operating in a hybrid working environment - teleworking with occasional on-site travel as needed. Candidates must reside within driving distance to the FDA Headquarters location in White Oak, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading overall performance, service delivery, and quality of the contract performance at the task order level
- Act as primary customer contact for project activities, deliverables, costs, schedules, and technical performance
- Maintain full authority to act on behalf of the contract on all matters relating to daily operations of this contract
- Maintain a positive perspective of the help desk team and IT Concepts
- Provide status updates on tasks as required and attend weekly status meetings.
- Responsible for all staffing and resource decisions on the contract
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving program delivery.
- Organize, plan, and execute staffing requests with qualified resources and facilitate needed contract actions
- Communicate challenges and potential risks to the client, as needed, and develops mitigation strategies
- Work to deliver satisfactory performance of contract task areas
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study or additional equivalent experience is required for this position.
- Strong customer orientation, and conflict resolution skills
- Senior-level knowledge, skills, and experience in federal government project management leading enterprise service desk operations
- Must demonstrate skills, knowledge, and experience commensurate with Order requirements and the Project Manager position. Must have experience in managing large IT service contracts
- Five (5) years of project management experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a public trust background investigation – Public Trust Level 5
- PMP certification, FAC-PPM certification, or equivalent
- Experience managing a contract of at least 50 FTE's
Preferred:
- ITIL 4 foundation certification
- Experience supporting FDA
Clearance requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
