Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Director:
Lead the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering function to industrialize and commercialize new medical device products—driving new product introductions, manufacturing technology strategy, and cross-functional execution to deliver scalable, compliant, and future-ready manufacturing.
Your role:
Lead new product introduction and product commercialization efforts, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver robust industrialization outcomes that meet quality, cost, and schedule goals.
Set and execute a long-term manufacturing technology vision aligned to the product roadmap, assessing and integrating emerging technologies that enable future manufacturing needs.
Build organizational capability by developing competencies, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring the team is ready to adopt new technologies and ways of working.
Elevate project execution by strengthening project management practices, using data and metrics to drive decisions, improve performance, and ensure consistent delivery.
Create an engaged and innovative environment through coaching and talent leadership—succession planning, performance management, and career development—so teams thrive and innovate.
You’re the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 10+ years with a Master’s degree) in manufacturing, production, engineering, management, or research and development—ideally leading new product industrialization and commercialization as a people leader.
Your skills include advanced manufacturing/operations leadership, process development, strategic planning, stakeholder management, project and budget management, and product development lifecycle execution—plus experience bringing new medical device products to market.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Innovation, Business, or equivalent; Six Sigma (or equivalent) is a plus.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position in Plymouth, MN is $160,000 to $220,000.
