Overview

Trissential is seeking a Senior Consultant, Data Systems Analyst to join our client team in a remote capacity, with the option to work hybrid in Minneapolis, MN if preferred. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in transforming data into meaningful insights, ensuring seamless data quality, and mentoring others within the data ecosystem. With your strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, you’ll bridge the gap between complex technical systems and business needs, enabling impactful decision-making. Your expertise will help debug data flows, resolve challenges, and design high-quality solutions that empower the organization. Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and design data-driven solutions
  • Mentor team members, share expertise, and foster a collaborative culture
  • Develop project plans and user stories for reporting enhancements and dashboard builds
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to validate data quality and inform future models
  • Debug and trace data issues across platforms and source systems, implementing root-cause solutions
  • Design and create dataflows, data models, and dashboards for robust analysis and reporting
  • Conduct detailed analyses of complex datasets, reports, and source data to uncover insights
  • Lead projects aimed at improving metadata, master data, and data quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Management, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on SQL experience
  • 1+ years creating highly formatted reports using tools such as SSRS or Business Objects
  • Prior exposure to the insurance domain (e.g., Underwriting, Claims, Finance) is a plus

Essential skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with Jira and Databricks is a plus
  • Expertise in diagnosing data quality issues and developing sustainable solutions
  • Enthusiasm for learning new tools and adapting in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and master data concepts
  • Experience in designing, debugging, and optimizing dataflows

Benefits

Trissential offers competitive compensation package for full time roles. The pay range for this role is $107 000 to $117 000 annually based on candidate's qualifications and experience.  This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; 3 weeks PTO, and 401k retirement savings.
