The Well Integrity Engineer is responsible for assurance and technical support of well barrier management for Aker BP operated Assets. The engineer reports to the D&W Manager – Well Integrity.
The position holder will demonstrate strong commitment to the HSSE and quality standards within Aker BP when carrying out the responsibilities of assurance and technical support for safe, efficient and reliable operations within the framework of Business Management System, regulations and standards. The position holder supports Aker BP common strategies and will take an active role in our digitalization and improvement agenda, finding smarter and better ways of working.
Typical work tasks can be:
- Collaborate and support Operations department on a frequent and regular basis to follow up well barrier management (e.g. integrity testing and monitoring activities).
- Collaborate and support relevant disciplines (subsurface, drilling/completion/intervention, operations, service providers) in well construction work to ensure safe and efficient integrity management.
- Lead or support development of diagnostics for well integrity issues. Pursue proactive identification and resolution of challenges and opportunities.
- Register and maintain up to date record of integrity status of wells (e.g. WIMS™ and SAP).
Skills and qualifications:
- Relevant M.Sc. degree
- Minimum 6 years of experience
- Good knowledge around Risk Management
- Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
