The RoleThis role will directly be responsible for managing all of Ro’s shipping carriers and platforms associated with transportation. This person will need to be confident in their ability to comprehend contracts, negotiated rates and have a solid understanding of the domestic transportation industry at large. You will work closely with these carriers as well as our internal teams including Finance, Supply Chain, Pharmacies and Product & Engineering to bridge the gap between carriers offerings and the Ro business needs.

For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).

What You’ll Do:
- Your responsibilities will fall under these 3 categories:
- Vendor management of our 5 shipping carriers including vendors associated to logistics including post purchase delivery notifications and freight auditors
- Own contract negotiations with all vendors, partnering directly with our internal legal team
- Identify and own all RFP’s with potential new carriers and also negotiate GRI’s with current
- Work with freight auditor to model out potential impacts depending on industry updates as well as internal changes
- Create weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting around network performance and distribute internally
- Create checks and balance to ensure networks is as optimized as possible, working internally with pharmacy operation team to review and amend if needed
- Iterate on processes and always remain proactive about opportunities to streamline and improve costs
- Work closely with Care team to identify opportunities to improve the member experience by assessing existing member frictions with our carriers
- Create, implement and own improvements with both carriers and our Care team to drive CSAT AND NPS improvements related to delivery experience

What You’ll Bring:
- You have 8+ years experience in logistics, transportations or operations at an e-commerce company. Past roles have included working in logistics and transportation. Previous startup experience is a plus.
- Previous transportation carrier sourcing and management required
- Previous shipping network management experience required
- You enjoy working cross-functionally in an agile, fast-paced environment
- You have worked in an environment with complex processes with multiple stakeholders on tight deadlines
- You have top-of-the-line communication skills, connecting effectively over email, chat, phone and in-person
- You care about improving the state of healthcare and have a personal connection to the space
