Collaborating with <strong>local Heads of Finance</strong> and supporting<strong> General Managers</strong> through data-driven insights, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health, strategic direction, and long-term success of one of Glovo’s fastest-growing and most strategic regions.</p> <p><strong>THE JOURNEY</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee financial strategy, treasury and accounting across our African markets, working closely with local Heads of Finance and General Managers.</li> <li>Deliver insights, proactively identify opportunities, and challenge the status quo to shape the future of our business.</li> <li>Own and steer the <strong>regional P&amp;L</strong>, from revenue levers to cost optimization.</li> <li>Lead annual <strong>budgeting</strong>, quarterly <strong>forecasting</strong>, and <strong>monthly performance reviews</strong>, partnering with all departments to drive transparency and accountability.</li> <li>Develop <strong>business cases</strong>, scenario analyses, and predictive models to guide expansion, commercial strategy, operational optimisation and innovation efforts.</li> <li>Partner with the central finance, strategy, and data teams to ensure alignment and best-in-class execution.</li> <li>Own <strong>process improvement</strong> and the finance operations roadmap in collaboration with local and global stakeholders.</li> <li>Support and oversee <strong>treasury</strong> and <strong>accounting</strong> needs as well as monitor and prepare financial policies and<strong> Financial Statements</strong>.</li> <li>Supervise the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultants as required.</li> <li>Represent the region in <strong>international forums</strong>, sharing learnings and helping shape Glovo’s global playbook.</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE</strong></p> <ul> <li>6-10+ years’ experience in Finance, Strategy, Consulting, or equivalent high-impact environments.</li> <li>Proven experience in <strong>senior leadership roles</strong>, with full P&amp;L exposure and cross-functional business acumen.</li> <li>Track record in <strong>leading high-performing teams</strong>, including recruiting and developing top talent.</li> <li>Strong exposure to <strong>high-growth, tech, e-commerce, or marketplace environments</strong>.</li> <li>Background in <strong>strategy consulting</strong> (e.g., MBB) and/or <strong>CFO-track roles</strong> in fast-paced companies is a strong plus.</li> <li>Fluency in <strong>English</strong> is required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Leadership Competencies </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Strategic Mindset</strong> – You think 12–24 months ahead and connect data to ambition.</li> <li><strong>Business Judgment</strong> – You see trade-offs, risks, and upside at 30,000ft and 3cm levels.</li> <li><strong>Data Fluency</strong> – You know how to build hypotheses, extract insight, and challenge assumptions.</li> <li><strong>Executive Presence</strong> – Able to influence and challenge senior leadership and inspire high-performing teams.</li> <li><strong>Executional Excellence</strong> – Structured, detail-oriented, and relentless in ensuring things get done.</li> <li><strong>People Leadership</strong> – Strong management skills with the a
