Role: Quality Control Compliance Engineer for Bilfinger UK-Pipe Fabrication:
The role of a Quality Control Compliance Engineer at Bilfinger UK, specifically in the context of pipe fabrication.
Quality Control Management:
- Develop and implement quality control plans for pipe fabrication projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify that processes and products meet quality standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality control processes.
- Generate reports on quality performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain the register’s and certification for Part A section of the LTQR’s generic documents as follows;
- QMS Certification to CQAP Plan
- Calibration for measuring equipment
- Calibration certification for Welding equipment
- Calibration of NDT Equipment
- Servicing record Weld Equipment and Borescope’s
- PMUC Certification and product information
- FIP 200 Welding Consumables
- Welding Qualification, WPS’s, WPQR’s, Including Prolongation
- NDT Qualification/Certification
- Listing/Control of RT Films
- NCR Register
- Production Weld test Coupons register
- Correspondence relating to TQ’s, CTS & EOMR’s
Compliance Monitoring:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards related to pipe fabrication.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and third-party inspectors as necessary.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Work with engineering and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management:
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers and subcontractors based on quality criteria.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with vendors to address and resolve quality issues.
Training and Education:
- Provide training to personnel involved in the fabrication process on quality standards and procedures.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability among the workforce.
Customer Relations:
- Interface with clients to understand their quality expectations and address any concerns.
- Participate in client meetings and inspections to demonstrate compliance.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that quality control processes align with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with health and safety professionals to create a safe working environment.
Root Cause Analysis:
- Investigate and analyze the root causes of quality issues and non-compliance.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of issues.
Audit Coordination:
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Collaborate with audit teams to address findings and implement improvements.
