The Field Training Officer (FTO) plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our security operations by providing hands-on training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for new hires in the field. This position is comparable to a Sergeant-level role and requires a professional who demonstrates leadership, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct on-site training for new security officers at client locations.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, reinforcing company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform quality assurance and compliance checks at assigned client sites.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve officer performance.
- Ensure officers are properly equipped and prepared for client-specific duties.
- Report training progress, site compliance, and officer performance to management.
- Support incident response and assist with on-site investigations as needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction with officer performance.
What You Need To Have
- Must provide acceptable I-9 documentation.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position within the security industry (field training, sergeant, or supervisory role).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Denver Guard Card license (required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must be able to be armed – firearm training will be provided by the company.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple client sites as required.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and carry up to 50 lbs in varying weather conditions
