The Role:

As the Chief Network Strategy & Management (CNSM) for Providence Health Plan, you will spearhead the vision, strategy, and management of our provider networks. This pivotal role requires deep expertise in network development, financial impacts, value-based contracting, and provider relations. You will lead initiatives to expand our network, enhance provider partnerships, and implement innovative solutions to improve healthcare affordability, delivery, and outcomes across existing and new markets.

What You'll Do:

• Strategic Network Developer: Design and execute comprehensive strategies to optimize and expand provider networks, including in Washington, Oregon, California, and future expansions.
• Value-Based Contracting Leader: Lead the development and negotiation of fee-for-service, value-based, and risk-sharing contracts, fostering collaborative relationships with providers to improve care quality and cost efficiency.
• Provider Relations Champion: Cultivate and maintain positive, provider-friendly relationships, ensuring alignment with Providence's culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
• Operational Efficiency Expert: Streamline network operations to reduce administrative burdens, enhance provider data management, and improve contract management processes.
• Technology Integrator: Embrace and implement technologies to modernize network operations, including provider data management systems and contract automation tools.
• Visionary Leader and Collaborator: Provide visionary leadership to the network development team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Product, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to achieve organizational goals.
• Market Expansion Driver: Identify and pursue network opportunities that support the organization's objectives related to market expansion, particularly in Medicare Advantage, Commercial insured, and self-insured markets.
• Performance Manager: Manage KPIs to strategically align network adequacy, contract efficiency, provider satisfaction, cost management, and technology adoption, focusing on network expansion, process optimization, provider relationships, cost savings, and technology use.

What You'll Bring:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in network development, preferably within a provider-sponsored health plan or similar healthcare organization.
• Contracting and Expansion Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing and managing provider networks, negotiating value-based contracts, and leading market expansion initiatives.
• Strategic and Analytical Skills: Strong strategic thinking, leadership, financial analysis, and communication skills.
• Technological Proficiency: Proficiency in leveraging technology to enhance network operations and provider engagement.
