As the Lead Proposal Manager, your focus will be leading our RFx responses and strengthening client relationships through interactions during the proposal process.  Additionally, you will help strategize and implement the marketing of our services in the Mid-Atlantic Region through social media, collateral, and the occasional events. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with all departments and service lines by leading/coordinating proposal efforts in response to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), Statements of Qualification (SOQ) and sub-consultant teams in both public and private sectors while adhering to strict production standards, accuracy and deadlines
  • Manage the proposal process from initiation, development, presentation to submission, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards that align with client needs and project requirements
  • Coordinate and lead proposal kick-off meetings, strategy sessions and content development discussions
  • Write and edit proposal content, tailoring messaging to address client challenges and project objectives effectively
  • Create visually engaging layouts using InDesign, incorporating graphics, images and project profiles to enhance the overall impact of proposals
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and ensure accuracy of proposal content
  • Coordinate with subcontractors/DBE firms to gather necessary marketing materials (resumes, project experience, references)
  • Develop and maintain a library of reusable proposal content, graphics and templates for efficient proposal creation
  • Conduct thorough review and quality checks to ensure proposals are error-free and align with branding guidelines
  • Stay current with industry A/E/C trends, best practices and competitor activities to enhance the quality and competitiveness of our proposals
  • Serve as a resource to the team and right-hand person to leadership for marketing recommendations, oversight, organization, knowledge and protocols
  • Execute and enforce brand standards for marketing plans/branding activities to include templates, materials, print, advertising, signage, web/video/photo content, social media and direct mail
  • Maintain and coordinate updated data in company systems
  • Coordinate trade show/conference participation and develop promotional items and booth set ups
  • Attend special events, community activities and on-site events representing SUMMIT/UES
  • Facilitate marketing communications internally and externally
  • Communicate with internal and external contacts to plan learning events, presenting our service lines

Qualifications:

  • Required Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree from an accredited University with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
  • At least 3 years of proposal coordination and marketing experience
