Project Management Institute, Inc.About the role
Do you love new ideas and look to improve the world in ways big and small?
How will you make a difference to PMI?
PMI is looking for a Director, Campaign & Content Delivery, who is responsible for ensuring the orchestration, execution, and delivery excellence of integrated marketing campaigns and content initiatives. This role plays a critical part in bridging strategy and execution, aligning cross-functional teams, optimizing workflows, and ensuring that large-scale campaigns and content programs are delivered on time, on brand, and with measurable impact. This is a highly cross-functional role that supports the executional heartbeat of marketing. It works closely with all areas of Marketing to manage delivery processes, content pipelines, and campaign execution. This role also manages a team of Individual Contributors focused on campaign operations and content delivery. This role ensures that strategic marketing campaigns and content initiatives are efficiently executed, well-coordinated, and performance-optimized while ensuring creativity shines.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Job Functions:
Serves as the “producer” for integrated marketing: a creative partner and execution lead who orchestrates cross-channel and functional delivery, removes barriers with a solutions mindset, and ships Tier 1 initiatives on time, on budget, and on brand.
Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead a high performing delivery ops function for marketing: establish cadence (standups, weekly dailies, stage-gate reviews) that aligns all functions across Marketing
• Build a solutions-oriented, agile delivery team: clarity of purpose, crisp handoffs, documented decisions, creative problem solvers
• Forecast staffing and vendor needs to safeguard critical paths and delivery excellence
Integrated Campaign Operations & Delivery:
• Own the master production schedule and run-of-show for Tier 1 launches; synchronize strategy and integrated marketing activation from brief through hypercare.
• Partner with Brand to translate the creative intent into executable plans: lock scope, define stage gates, assess vendor needs, build production needs, sequence approvals, and secure the right signoffs at the right moments.
• Lead campaign production process including bi-weekly Campaign check-ins, socializing campaign readiness checklists, drive go/no-go with clear escalation.
Content Operations & Delivery
• Produce flagship content programs (podcasts, long-form editorial, thought leadership, partner content) with creative-first workflows that still hit delivery windows.
• Build versioning, rights/usage, accessibility, and localization into the pipeline; enable reuse and adaptation across channels and regions without re-inventing.
• Run an editorial intake and routing system that captures high-value stories across PMI; tag, govern, and surface them for campaigns, product moments, and exec platforms.
• Maintain the “asset bible” taxonomy and governance so teams can find, adapt, and republish confidently and responsibly.
• Lead structured launch retros; codify learnings into playbooks and cascade them to global and regional teams.
Process Optimization & Knowledge Sharing
• Own the marketing production + delivery system: tiering model, SLAs, RACI, intake-to-activation workflows, templates, and stage gates that increase speed and quality.
• Keep a single source of truth for calendars, milestones, asset inventories, and status; ensure stakeholders have real-time visibility.
• Continuously refine tooling (work management, CMS, publishing) and data hygiene to reduce friction and enable scale.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or another relevant field. MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, integrated campaign management, or content operations, with at least 2 years of people management experience.
• Proven experience orchestrating complex cross-functional marketing programs.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Wrike) and CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager).
• Experience managing both global and regional marketing activations.
• Exposure to content marketing measurement and campaign attribution frameworks.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of campaign lifecycle management, content workflows, and CMS implementation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Experience working in global or matrixed marketing environments.
• Ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
• Expertise in managing complex, multi-channel campaigns and to build, refine, and streamline marketing and content work
