Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Director of Recruiting, Football, Intercollegiate Athletics, UNLV Athletics [R0142224]

ROLE of the POSITION

This position reports directly to the Head Coach for Football and will coordinate all aspects of the UNLV Football Recruiting program. This position will direct and supervise countable coaches in recruiting assignments, correspond with parents and PSAs, work to ensure compliance with the NCAA Eligibility Center on academic eligibility and manage and conduct regular recruiting meetings.

This position will assign recruiting areas, communicate with high school and junior college coaches, evaluate prospective football talent on video and through scouting services. Game day responsibilities will include recruiting presentations to recruits and parents and the effective management of complimentary ticket admissions for all PSAs, high school and/or junior college coaches and parents.

This position is expected to ensure recruitment of competitive talent which will lead to National Rankings and MWC Championships.

This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletic Compliance, prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a minimum of one (1) year of comparable professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in a Division 1 Football office, recruiting or coaching experience preferred.
