They design, develop, and maintain complex automated test scripts and frameworks, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues. Their expertise extends to troubleshooting intricate automation challenges and staying at the forefront of automation trends and best practices within the Java ecosystems.</p> <p>What truly sets them apart is their willingness to question, challenge, and think creatively from a testing perspective, making them invaluable in driving innovation and ensuring the highest quality standards. They are quick to become subject-matter experts, well-versed in various testing techniques, designs, and strategies, and they navigate the intricacies of cross-platform complexities with ease. Their adaptability, rapid learning, and the ability to embrace change make them an asset in any dynamic QA environment. </p> <h3><strong>Role responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Work on custom projects for clients, sometimes very closely with their team</li> <li>Design and write test automation scripts</li> <li>Investigate problems in software as a result of testing</li> <li>Work with QA analysts and software developers to find efficient automation solutions</li> <li>Keep a healthy communication with your project manager and client</li> <li>Take active part in all project stages – analysis, estimation, documentation, coding, bug fixing and support</li> <li>Learn from your colleagues and teach them what you know </li> </ul> <h3><strong>Minimum qualifications</strong></h3> <p><strong>We want all new hires to succeed in their roles at Valtech. If you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications, we still encourage you to apply. </strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years practical experience in Java Automation</li> <li>Web UI automation with Selenium WebDriver</li> <li>Experience of using Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) collaboratively</li> <li>API automation with RestAssured or similar tools</li> <li>Experience in testing Microservices architecture</li> <li>Performance testing with JMeter or similar tools</li> <li>Mobile automation with Appium</li> <li>Knowledge in SQL</li> <li>Experience with Charles, Postman or similar tools</li> <li>Confidence to question and challenge from a Testing perspective</li> <li>The ability to quickly become a subject-matter expert</li> <li>Knowledge of different testing techniques, test designs, and test strategies</li> <li>Awareness of cross-platform complexities and their impact on quality</li> <li>Experience working in an Agile team</li> <li>Demonstrable initiative - you like to think outside of the box</li> <li>Ability to be adaptable and learn quickly</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Expertise in Cypress automation</li> <li>Knowledge of Python and PyTest</li> <li>Good knowledge in JS</li> <li>Hands on experience with GraphQL</li> <li>Knowledge in PostgreSQL</li> <li>Parallel Automated Tests with Kubernetes and Docker</li> <li>An understanding of networking principles</li> <li>An understanding of CI/CD practices</li> </ul> <h3><strong>The benefits</strong></h3> <p>This is a full-time position that comes with an excellent salary and an opportunity to grow within the company based on demonstrated merit.</p> <p><span>Beyond a competitive full compensation package, we pride ourselves on offering you flexibility, career advancement &amp; learning and development.
