JOB SUMMARY:

As a Regional Vice President of Operations, you lead the strategy and performance of a multi-state region, directly managing a team of District Managers and supporting park-level leadership. You translate corporate objectives into clear, actionable plans and ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all parks in your region. You drive operational excellence, develop and retain top talent, and create exceptional guest experiences. Your leadership strengthens business performance, fuels growth, and positions Sky Zone as the leader in active entertainment. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with MBA or advanced degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of multi-unit experience in high customer volume environments (i.e. fitness, restaurant, retail, entertainment, etc.).  
  • Experience leading and developing District Managers.  
  • Total P&L management of at least $80M, preferred $100M or more.  
  • Ability to travel in market 50-70% of the time, required to live near major airport.  
  • Strong business acumen: able to make strategic decisions based on region and financial data.  
  • Excellent at developing high performing, engaged teams, and facilitating an inclusive, energetic, and high performing culture.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.  
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.  
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s operations division.  
  • Facilitate cross-pollination of ideas, best practices, and feedback horizontally across the park system as well as up and down from the field to the executive team.  
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.  
  • Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.  
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new procedures, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.  
  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, leadership development, organization, material efficiency, technology, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.  
  • Build and maintaining strong relations with team, stakeholders, and guests.  
  • Ability to lead and expand business by driving strategy to boost sales and gain market share.  
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.  
  • Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.  
  • Establishes and administers the department’s budget.  
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other senior leadership.  
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.  
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.  
  • Builds a talented District Manager team through both internal development and strategic hiring of external talent.  
  • Ability to identify, assess, and develop talent.
