About you and the roleReporting to the Head of Finance based in CA/US, this newly created Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant role, is a detail oriented, analytical and strategic position, supporting the business globally. This person plays a crucial role in supporting key business decisions by providing financial insights, forecasts, and reports. The FP&A Analyst will work closely with leadership and other departments to ensure financial performance is on track and support the overall financial strategy of the company.

What you'll be doing:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals. 
  • Presentations and ad-hoc analysis:  Prepare concise and compelling financial and KPI presentations for leadership, investors and ad hoc requests.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, providing insights into financial performance and trends, and recommending improvements or adjustments where necessary.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models for business operations, capital planning, and new business initiatives to assess profitability, risks, and opportunities.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with various departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to understand business drivers and ensure financial goals align with strategic priorities.
  • Other duties within the Employee's skills and experience, or with reasonable training.

Ideally you'll have:

  • 3+ years in a position equivalent to a FP&A/business analyst or higher responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (advanced financial modeling, functions, pivot tables, etc).
  • Experience integrating, maintaining and utlizing FP&A planning and financial reporting software and ERP systems (Xero, CUBE, Fathom).
  • Strong understanding of 3-way financial statements, accounting principles, and key performance metrics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, data presentation and communication skills.
  • Confidence and adaptability  in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve on time accurate results as well as being detail-oriented, self-directed and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision.
