About the role
The Revenue Associate assists with the collection and reconciliation of revenue within Zoo Guest Services and ensures that processes are in compliance with Cleveland Metroparks accounting manual. They perform a variety of accounting and administrative functions in a confidential manner.
- Collect, reconcile and track the performance of revenue generating programs within the zoo.
- Maintains financial and statistical records, reconciles cash receipts and implements office/accounting procedures to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Communicates and implements cash control policies and procedures.
- Assists guests with ticketing and webstore issues.
- Researches credit card and system imbalances.
- Performs internal auditing on system users, as directed.
- Reconciles zoo daily revenue.
- Prepares bank deposits.
- Trains personnel as directed by Admissions Manager.
- Responsible for coverage of the functions of Revenue Office when assigned.
- Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
- Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
- Assists Zoo Guest Services with administrative functions, as required.
- Provides coverage for Zoo Receptionist. Answers telephone, provide information to callers or routes to appropriate party. Acts as communication point during emergency situations.
- Responds to guest inquiries complaints. Refers all unresolved complaints to Admissions Manager.
- Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business-related filed preferred. Minimum of two years progressively responsible administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
- Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
