Physician Resident Applicant

The Physician Resident Applicant meets all requirements of the resident role and has applied for a LA licensure that is still pending. The Resident applicant may begin orientation and onboarding while in a Resident Applicant status. Resident applicants may transfer to a Resident after all requirements are met and licensure has been verified. At no time, may a Resident Applicant conduct clinical duties. May remain in a Resident Applicant role for no more than the standard orientation period of 30 days.

1. Completes all steps necessary related to the on-boarding process. 
2. Participates in the orientation and training program upon hire and completes necessary training modules in given timeframe.
3. Participates in institutional programs and activities involving the medical staff.
4. Develop an understanding of ethical, socioeconomic and medical/legal issues that affect graduate medical education and participate in institutional committees and councils, especially those that relate to patient care review activities, quality assurance, and apply cost containment measures in the provision of patient care.

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree
• Licensure: Pending license application from Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
