Position Overview: TMS Coordinator II – Insurance Specialist
This is a senior-level, insurance-focused role ideal for candidates with strong expertise in medical insurance processes. As a TMS Coordinator II, you will be the backbone of our insurance operations—handling complex prior authorizations, appeals, benefits verification, and payer communications. Success in this role requires extensive experience navigating insurance portals, working with multiple payers, and ensuring compliance across all insurance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead insurance verification and detailed benefits analysis for all new and existing patients
- Manage prior authorizations, follow-ups, and appeals processes across various insurance providers
- Navigate multiple insurance portals efficiently and effectively
- Coordinate Peer-to-Peer reviews and ensure timely resolution of denied claims
- Input and maintain accurate authorization data within AdvancedMD (EHR system)
- Monitor and respond to insurance inquiries and track tasks in Salesforce
- Assist patients with financial coordination, including setting up payment plans aligned with coverage
- Conduct regular audits of patient demographics and insurance data to ensure compliance
- Support and mentor TMS Coordinator I team members
- Provide cross-coverage support as needed within administrative teams
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical insurance coordination or healthcare billing
- Proven ability to navigate multiple payer systems and insurance portals
- Strong understanding of prior authorizations, appeals, and Peer-to-Peer processes
- Experience with AdvancedMD or similar EHR systems
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Must be available to work Pacific Time hours
