We take a market-centric approach to our activities, building positions where we have complementary skills in development, route to market, and operations and maintenance.  We will build scale to be competitive and continue to pursue new opportunities together with our partners.</p><p>We are determined to play a major role in the growth of offshore wind in Norway, initially through the bidding process in Sørlige Nordsjø II (together with Aker and BP) and Utsira Nord (together with Aker and Ocean Winds). The increased ambition by Norwegian Government to develop in total 30 GW offshore wind in Norway by 2040 represents a large opportunity for Statkraft. In Ireland, we have a strong and growing portfolio of projects. We will also explore opportunities in other markets.</p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Support and work with the Norwegian offshore project teams to deliver strong ESIAs and provide consenting advice</li><li>Provide onshore and offshore consenting advice and ensure robust development strategies</li><li>Ensure that the projects successfully secure all rights to build (consents, permits, grid connections, land rights and other 3rd party agreements etc.)</li><li>Develop inputs to DEVEX and scheduling relating to ESIAs and Consenting for the projects</li><li>Assist in procuring consultants and necessary surveys, help scope work and ensure alignment between partners</li><li>Assess, understand and communicate key permitting risks and mitigations</li><li>Liaise and coordinate ESIAs and consultation processes and prepare license and planning applications</li><li>Manage the inputs to and from technical design teams to finalize project design with minimal environmental impact</li><li>Ensure excellent collaboration with all relevant internal project teams and external consultants</li><li>Assist in external stakeholder dialogues including regulators</li><li>Continuously ensure compliance with requirements and secure license to operate in projects</li><li>Contribute to the development of offshore competence in Statkraft, including development and maintenance of high environmental and HSE standards</li></ul><p> </p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong><u>Education</u></strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree or equivalent in environmental science, environmental engineering or related fields</li></ul><p><strong><u>Experience / knowledge</u></strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability of working with the planning process and all development stages of renewable energy projects, including in-depth experience related to Norwegian license processes.</li><li>Experience in coordinating specialist technical input to deliver carefully considered, high quality ESIAs, ideally including experience from the marine sector</li><li>Experience from working with environmental issues related to renewable energy as well as strong technical understanding of renewable energy technology and business understanding</li><li>An established network in the offshore industry would be beneficial</li><li>Experience of having full responsibility for management of project budgets and schedules from early-stage development to construction</li><li>Experience of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams</li><li>Understanding of key environmental, social and human rights guidelines and frameworks</li><li>Excellent application of MS Excel and other MS applications; experience with GIS is an asset</li></ul><p><strong><u>Desired abilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Proactive, creative and solution-oriented with strong attention to detail</li><li>Strong communication, relationship-building and management skills including organisational ability and a target oriented, demonstrated ability to prioritize</li><li>Able to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations and risk/benefit, both in written and verbal format to project teams</li><li>Strong ability to analyse and weigh different considerations against each other</li><li>Independent self-starter with a clear ability to manage a large workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while pr
