Job Description:

Working in collaboration with the Communications Team, this position will be responsible for:

Graphic Design

  • Assisting in creating digital assets for print, video, and the web using Adobe Creative Cloud, Google and Microsoft applications.
  • Working with project owners to design and develop documents in accordance with project branding standards.
  • Assisting in the quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Ensuring all artistic work follows the correct branding for the project while being inventive and imaginative in developing original and creative products.
  • Editing materials and presentations as needed per client request.

Project Management

  • Conferring with the Graphic Design Coordinator to discuss and determine necessary parameters for creative aspects of projects.
  • Using implemented systems to track, maintain, monitor, and iterate on each product as they progress through the development cycle.
  • Maintaining files and records of design materials.
  • Managing and tracking time spent on projects.

Professional Learning

  • Gaining knowledge of current and appropriate styles and skills to design and develop diverse, equitable, and inclusive resources.
  • Staying current with design trends and best practices.
  • Gaining knowledge or mastery of design and project management software.
  • Completing required UF and Lastinger Center training.

Other Tasks as Assigned

This position requires 10-20 hours per week and primarily Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m., with rare after-hours work required.

Expected Salary:

$14.00 - $15.00 hourly

Minimum Requirements:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), Google and Microsoft applications.
  • Attention to detail, professionalism, dependability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Demonstrated communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills (previous customer service experience is a plus).
  • Self-starter; self-motivated; timely.
  • Ability to effectively work on multiple, ongoing projects at once, willingness to learn new skills.
  • Available to work Summer '25
