Job Description
As a member of the Visa Global Privacy Office (GPO), you will not only play a critical role as a privacy professional helping drive our global privacy program forward, but you will get exposure to, and have an opportunity to become an expert on, a diverse range of cutting-edge topics. In addition to leading the Visa global privacy program, our team supports a wide array of global, regional, and local initiatives on data governance, cybersecurity, records and information management, AI and machine learning, open banking and cross border data movement. The Senior Manager of Training and Engagement will be a critical new member of Visa’s growing Global Privacy Office (GPO). You will join a global privacy governance team that drives the requirements for the global Visa privacy program, liaising with stakeholders through Visa and helping the GPO take a centralized approach through training and awareness of privacy program policies, procedures, standards, playbooks, and other program activities. In this role, you will be an important member of the Privacy Framework, Policy & Governance team, helping drive awareness of key privacy training throughout the organization as a critical member of a new team. We expect this role to be an individual contributor.
Essential Functions:
Reporting to the Director, Policy Governance, and represent the Global Privacy Office (GPO) as a point of contact on all privacy training and awareness management, ensuring that materials, documentation, reflect relevant and compliant content with privacy laws, and Visa Privacy policy.
Work closely on aligning with the Chief Data Officer’s (CDO) Data Policy governance team, data stewards, and other business functions to ensure business training and awareness requirements are embedded into Visa governance processes in a thoughtful and practical way, including developing and coordinating data-related documentation in close coordination with the Global Data Office (GDO).
Responsible for managing training management and documentation while embedding key activities and communication paths across Visa Staff, in a well-organized and centralized manner.
Managing and expanding upon the Visa Privacy Program document management.
Supporting maintenance and implementation of revision schedule for privacy program documentation, including coordinating reviews and approvals of all documentation and trainings on identified revision cycles.
Work closely with Privacy Legal team and other stakeholders to review new or modified laws and regulations to ensure privacy program documentation and training remains compliant with evolving privacy landscape.
Work closely with other stakeholders within GPO to assist with other areas of the program as needed (e.g., privacy controls framework, privacy impact assessments, data subject rights, etc.).
Actively learn and lend privacy expertise as it relates to data governance and privacy in projects across the organization.
Consistently manage stakeholder expectations, engagement, and communications, to ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on feedback.
Proactively identify opportunities and deliver improvements.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) o
