School of Sports and Health – CET Associate Lecturer (Sport and Exercise Science)

[What you will be working on]

The Associate Lecturer (Continuous Education and Training) for Sport and Exercise Science will contribute and deliver modules or courses in the following areas:
•    Strength and Conditioning
•    Exercise Programming and Assessment
•    Sports and Exercise Prescription
•    Active Ageing

[What we are looking for]

•   Relevant academic qualification in physical education, exercise science or related disciplines.
•    Professional certification in fitness training or strength and conditioning
•    At least 5 years of experience in the planning and delivery of strength and conditioning services to community-dwelling elderly. 
•    Candidates should be able to:
o    coach strength and conditioning
o    conduct fitness assessment
o    demonstrate strength and conditioning exercises and drills
o    demonstrate safe training considerations while performing all the above specifically to community-dwelling elderly.
•    Self-driven team-players with growth mindset who:
o    independently lead and inspire learners
o    complete duties to team standards in a timely manner 
o    pay attention to detail
o    have good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
o    are proficient with Microsoft Office, administrative tasks and mark academic assessment.
•    Able to commit to at least 2 weekdays, and/or night/weekend classes during course runs.
