Job Description
The Warehouse Lead distributes daily work to the fulfillment team and works directly with customers and suppliers in order to maintain clear communication. They lead and perform all floor operations and are able to facilitate process improvements to streamline work. The lead will also act as a mentor to the team while fostering a positive working environment and perform reconciliation of all transactions as needed and maintain close attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide clear verbal or written instructions so that the expectations of employee roles are understood
- An understanding of databases, and spreadsheets and strong numeracy skills to carry out these tasks efficiently
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, shipping, warehouse, and in the quality of goods
- Assist colleagues when necessary and continue to be polite and helpful at all times to ensure a smooth running of the warehouse
- Motivate the warehouse team, provide guidance, and delegate tasks, which requires your strong leadership skill
- Ensure the warehouse is always ready for internal and external Audits
- Experience with implementing Kanban Methodology
- Experience in implementing, executing and improving cycle count programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 4 – 5 years of relevant experience
- Forklift Certification preferred, not required
- California Driver’s License is Required
- Previous work experience in a lab preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules
- Ability to work independently in a team environment
- Ability to support both Union City and Redwood City locations
Additional Information
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the hourly range for this full-time position is $32.02 to $44.04. The range does not include benefits and, if applicable, overtime, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
