Job Summary:

Provide sales/customer support and process/project management for publishing services technology.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide technology expertise with print and electronic publishing services systems, processes, and solutions
• Perform some travel to assist sales and customers with technology demos, discussions, training and education
• Create and manage technology onboarding plans to successfully deploy new work
• Act as technology project manager
• Conduct process improvements research and manage implementations
• Create and deliver technology reports to Sheridan personnel and customers
• Serve as a valued technology resource to Sheridan customers
• Serve as a primary technology resource to Sheridan Sales, Account Management, Finance, and Operations
• Assist in education and training of Sheridan personnel and customers
• Conference with Sheridan personnel and customers to help resolve process challenges
• Leadership of internal teams managing technology-based processes

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Knowledge of publishing marketplace major technologies
• Knowledge of technology development and deployment models and strategies
• Proven sales support skills
• Proven customer onboarding skills
• Proven project management experience
• Superior leadership abilities
• Superior communication skills
• Ability to be proactive and self-driven
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of seven years publishing services technology experience
• Experience with system/data integrations and automated workflows

 

 

 

 

 

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of printing marketplace major technologies
• Ability to be proactive and self-driven
• Knowledge in Kodak Prinergy and support experience to include InSite, RBA, & Preps
• Experience in Book Manufacturing
• Experience with cloud-based applications
• Understanding of the PDF file format and impact on print production
• Understanding of job layout and imposition on substrates
• Ability to read and understand JDF, XML, JSON, and other data file types
• Basic knowledge of color management practices
• Basic knowledge of page layout applications (InDesign, QuarkXPress)
• Proven Digital Front End (DFE) configuration and support experience
• Digital print workflow configuration experience
• Ability to read and understand JDF, XML, JSON, and other data file types
• Experience with barcode automation
• Experience with cloud-based applications
