JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Food Science at Penn State University is looking to hire 2-3 students to help with a USDA project under the direction of Dr. Yi Zhang.

Duties include:

•              Conduct part of research projects in the area of food chemistry, food processing and engineering, and value-addition to food byproducts

•              Collect and analyze data from ongoing research projects

•              Prepare figures and tables. Write research reports

•              Order and purchase research supplies and materials as needed

•              Maintain electronic files of protocols, equipment manuals, and supplies lists

•              Oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure the efficient functioning of lab
