Sales Manager
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business objectives for the company's transportation and logistics services. The position requires a strong understanding of the industry, the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, and effective communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Identify potential new business opportunities and develop plans to pursue them
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of sales strategies
- Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts with customers
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular reports to management
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in market conditions
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company's services
Educational background / Work experience
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or a related field is usually required. A master's degree in a related field may be preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the transportation and logistics industry is typically required for this position.
- Strong sales skills and ability to close deals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends and regulations
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
