Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Technical Project Manager (TPM) 2 supports and manages discrete technical construction scope, ensuring timely completion of all project elements.  This role oversees technical requirements; defines and manages project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks; and supports, while at times leading, the project team in planning, tracking, and executing the scope from initiation through turnover.
  • TPM 2 manages project activities in alignment with Triad’s prime contract, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Department of Energy (DOE) 413.3B requirements.
  •  Work is organized into control accounts and corresponding work packages that define tasks necessary to meet programmatic objectives. 
  • TPM 2 reports to the Manager of Projects (MOP) and is responsible for the daytoday administrative and operational management of an assigned project/program area. 
  • Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and standards related to construction and work execution within a nuclear facility. 
  • The role also supports development and monitoring of program budgets and provides technical guidance to project teams, support departments, and matrixed resources.
  • All scope supported and managed by the TPM 2 is performed within DOE Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 1 facility. 
  • Therefore, prior nuclear facility and/or laboratory experience is required along with an emphasis on recent and relevant experience with security/classification protocols in a Department of Energy (DOE) and/or National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) setting where active D&D, construction, testing, and turnover was being performed under Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1) requirements.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

 

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Prior nuclear facility and/or laboratory experience.(required)
  • Recent and relevant experience with security/classification protocols in a Department of Energy (DOE) and/or National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) setting where active D&D, construction, testing, and turnover was being performed under Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1) requirements. (required)
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. (required)
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.(required)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & LOCATION DETAILS:

  • Prior construction experience, particularly supporting work in a nuclear facility.
  • Candidates must have extensive experience working compliantly within strict nuclear security and classification environments
  • Active Q clearance
  • Work planning and controls; effective coordination and communication between representatives of construction, operations, and support organizations such as radiological cont
