As Solution Engineer III in the Middle-office Corporate Action, Pricing/Valuations product team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, scalable systems to enable day-to-day business operations with internal and external systems in the Back-office Investment Operations domain. You will partner with the business to create innovative product solutions and drive operational excellence to our investment operation application portfolio. You will join a product team accountable for the full-scale Software lifecycle of designing, developing, testing, automatable packaging, deployment, and post-production support following enterprise standards and best practices. And build health-check monitoring solutions for functions launched in production. You will support the shift left approach in the team and are expected to be hands-on while supporting solution quality efforts and release activities. In the near term, you will contribute to building high-quality, efficient technology solutions that integrate Capital Group’s investment operations data across diverse consuming products.

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• You have at least 8 years of software engineering experience with building and implementing new products, integrations (i.e., Microservices, APIs), and expertise in integration technologies like Kafka/Rabbit MQ, Python, Database technologies – Oracle, Postgres
• You have experience with software lifecycle management, CI/CD, AWS products - S3, EKS/ECS, Aurora Postgres, and Java, Springboot, J2EE, JavaScript, Angular, API Services, SSL, Okta, Splunk, Datadog
• You have a working knowledge of Agile product team methodology, functional analysis, Confluence, ServiceNow, JIRA, Github, qTest, Autosys, CyberArk
• You are thoughtful in your approach to software engineering practices and enable a future-ready, high-quality, and responsive code base
• You have experience with code instrumentation, proactive monitoring, application resiliency, and performance tuning
• You have experience demonstrating interpersonal savviness to accommodate a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new concepts and technologies and effectively apply them
• Prior Financial services industry experience particularly in Middle-office systems such as pricing/valuation, and corporate actions is preferred

Southern California Base Salary Range: $116,974-$187,158

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
