Consultant, Financial Senior

HealthPartners is hiring a Senior Finance Consultant. The Senior Finance Consultant is responsible for a variety of project management and financial functions supporting Health Plan Finance department and CFO including leading finance projects, financial statement review and trend analysis, leading work to develop new financial models, lead work to identify workflow efficiencies and establish new processes, review and oversight of health plan documentation, review of strategic initiatives and make recommendations, including capital and project ROI evaluation.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist Senior Finance Leaders with leading projects, managing affordability initiatives, and other project management work as assigned.
- Preparation of materials for Board Meetings.
- Prepares and delivers comprehensive reports, proposals and recommendations to key stakeholders and operational leaders
- Supports financial forecasting, long range planning and budgeting projects
- Leads health plan reporting enhancements and initiatives
- Conducts analysis and research of financial data
- Assists with analysis of HealthPartners Product line reporting.
- Develops performance metrics across the Health Plan
- Competitor health plan analysis
- Understanding of methods of data and systems analysis and principles, design and procedural methods used in data analytics and financial strategy development
- Performs special projects as required that may include the coordination of a variety of complex and confidential information from planning and design states through implementation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years finance experience
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills including the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong excel and modeling skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with general ledger and financial systems
- Ability to sustain successful, positive partnerships with executives, senior leaders and business operations management
- Demonstrated ability to design analysis to make informed decisions and recommendations from detailed financial, trend and operational data
- Ability to present financial information to leaders and non-financial audiences
