About the Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will play a key role in shaping and evolving our cloud infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure systems, partnering with engineering teams to deliver exceptional application performance and rapid deployment cycles. This position requires a broad understanding of cloud technologies, automation, and best practices for system reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Play a critical part in implementing a secure, robust and high availability DevOps pipeline
• Work closely with engineers, QA, and project managers throughout the development lifecycle to successfully delivering best in class and highly available systems that range in complexity and purpose
• Implement push button deployment at scale with zero downtime
• Automate build & deployment processes

About You

The essentials:

• 7+ years demonstrable experience in DevOps
• Expert knowledge and experience with software version control systems (Git, GitHub, Gitlab etc.)
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration technologies a requirement
• Scripting, testing and/or programming skills required: Shell Python Scripting preferred. 
• Experience maintaining automated build systems such as Jenkins
• A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather then do things manually
• Familiarity with tools for monitoring and system alerting (Grafana, Prometheus)
• Linux system administration experience: ssh, monitoring processes, attaching storage, cleaning disk space, firewall configuration, etc.
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration and Delivery processes
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMWare or OpenStack required
• Experience building Ansible playbooks
• Experience with Databases such as Mongo DB, Cassandra, Redis, Vertica or snowflake. 
• Experience with tools such as Kafka, Apache, Spark, Flink etc.

What We Offer

.Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Media.Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting .Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range

$120,000 — $150,000 USD
