Job Description:

   

We are seeking a Portfolio Specialist, Asset Management.  This position within our HPE Financial Services (HPEFS) business unit is an opportunity to play a key role on our go-to-market team focusing on IT Asset lifecycle optimization. You’ll work with partners, end-users and our internal sales teams to Create Smarter IT Lifecycles. You’ll analyze existing customer profiles via datasets to determine where a portfolio solution would add the most value to the end-user. Working with our SMB West channel financial sales team, you’ll develop portfolio proposals and offers for the end-users. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping customers optimize the useful life of their IT infrastructure.  This is a hybrid position, based in our Berkeley, Heights, NJ office.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule time with HPEFS Financial Account Managers to review their accounts and identify portfolio opportunities. Collaboration is critical with this position.
  • Manage and execute all tasks required for the delivery of client facing portfolio buyout or extension options.
  • Compliance with established guidelines and policies, the ability to quickly learn and understand processes and policies is critical.
  • Frequent communication with customers and internal colleagues to identify PM opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with the HPFS Sales team to ensure accurate forecasting to management and alignment with overall account planning strategies.
  • Ability to price buyouts/renewals/etc. to customers accurately and timely.
  • Analyze data to determine where our PM solutions will benefit customers.

Experience:

  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Typically, 3-5 years of experience as referenced above.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite , SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Slack.
  • General knowledge of the IT industry.
  • IT asset lifecycle management a plus.   
  • Ability to analyze data to determine where portfolio solutions could be most effective.
  • Prior sales, financial services or data analytics experience.
  • Proactively engage with sales teams when PM opportunities are identified.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven ability to multitask existing deals and new deal progressions.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate client proposals.
  • Ability to work as proactive member of a team, as well as independently. You’ll work with many departments within HPEFS.
  • Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
