This is your opportunity to join our growing Accreditation Preparation Team, located in the Clinical Governance Unit of Clinical Quality, Regulation and Accreditation at the Department of Health. The APT team are a dynamic and growing team based in the Hobart CBD.

The focus of our newest team is to lead the implementation of systems to support maintaining statewide accreditation readiness for NSQHS, Aged Care, NDIS and other health service relevant accreditation surveys across the Tasmanian Public Health Service.  The team will be mentoring and monitoring quality improvement and conducting assessments as required to ensure the public health service continues to provide the best possible care for our patients and their support networks.  You will be working alongside an amazing and diverse group who are passionate about the Tasmanian Health Service CARE values - Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. 

The Role:

The Senior Program Officer – Accreditation Preparation will be based in Hobart and provide high level statewide project and program management support to the Manager Accreditation Preparation. Leading the monitoring and implementation of quality improvement activities to support public health services to meet accreditation standards. The successful applicant will have extensive experience working in the health industry and knowledge of accreditation.

  • Provide high level project and/or program management support in relation to complex accreditation, policy and service delivery matters consistent with the requirements of the relevant Australian national standard.
  • Conduct onsite assessments and report on accreditation status of health services which may require periodic travel within the state.
  • Provide coordination and secretarial support to quality improvement, quality and safety committees and undertake data related activities, including data research, reports and analysis of trends to support the management of the programs of work

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: 

$107,899 to $122,292 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution in a relevant field such as a Diploma of Quality Auditing BSB50920, Lead Auditor ISO 19011:2018, or MBA
