About the role

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Regional Mobilization Program Manager you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 Data Centers in 32 countries and millions of servers. Our foundation is built upon and managed by a team of subject matter experts working to support services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in over 90 countries worldwide.

With environmental sustainability and optimization at the forefront of our datacenter design and operations, we continue to grow and evolve as we meet the ever-changing business demands that hold Microsoft as a world-class cloud provider.

As a Regional Mobilization Program Manager, you will be responsible for executing Hyperscale Network Infrastructure projects for Microsoft Azure in the Americas region (North, Central, and South America). You will collaborate with new-hired and tenured Datacenter Operations teams to build and maintain key datacenter network infrastructure, both remotely and onsite as you travel to the datacenters. You will manage end-to-end network projects with stakeholders and vendors, and establish strong relationships across a breadth of stakeholders and partners. By creating best practices and lessons learned during the duration of the projects, you will drive improvements to the people, processes, and tools involved in the deployment of Microsoft Azure’s Datacenter Network Infrastructure. You will foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and decision-making, as well as embody the One Microsoft culture and values.

The Greenfield Datacenter Mobilization Program (GDMP) supports the planning and execution of Hyperscale Network Infrastructure for Microsoft Azure in the Americas, both remotely and onsite within the datacenters. The program aims to improve the delivery of new datacenter capacity by applying feedback and lessons learned to the people, processes, and tools involved in the network infrastructure deployment. The program also helps regions with high growth to meet their network deployment staffing needs on a case-by-case basis. The main goals of the program are to deliver datacenter capacity faster and better by innovating and optimizing business processes and operational procedures, as well as to foster a culture of continuous learning, and use feedback from Greenfield Mobilization projects to guide decision-making and innovation.
