What’s special about this job:
The Front Line Lead will work a 4 day, 10 hour schedule, and the hours for 1st shift are 4am - 2pm, Monday through Thursday. This position will require employees to be available Monday through Saturday with the department determining which days will comprise the work week based upon production and scheduling demands.
How you would contribute to the role:
The Front-Line Leader (FLL) I will be responsible for leading and coordinating, activities during a single shift within a single job family (mix, packaging, or warehouse) for a single Amway Manufacturing plant. They are expected to deliver operational excellence in safety, quality and the delivery of products to our customers. The FLL will achieve results through leading and assisting packaging, mix, or warehouse employees with technical support, coaching, and mentoring.
Responsibilities will include:
Demonstrating basic leadership capabilities and setting direction for the shift while driving activities that support business goals, effectively communicating across all levels, responding to situations and challenges and encouraging and rewarding team members. The FLL will perform functions associated with safety and productivity on a designated shift and functional job family while maintaining a high level of quality. Must be able to run two areas in Mix family
FLL Level 1 is an entry-level position, responsible for leading and coordinating, activities during a single shift within a single job family (mix, packaging, or warehouse) for an Amway Manufacturing plant while continually building technical and leadership capabilities.
Typically:
- Duties and tasks are routine with employees expected to deliver results in controlled situations.
- Works with teams to deliver daily and weekly results.
- Identifies quality, safety and production challenges in order to mitigate risk and participate in investigations.
- Resolves most routine situations and problems; refers complex issues to higher levels.
- Requires regular guidance and supervision from higher levels. - Builds technical capability within a single job family to support and lead teams as defined in Skill Development System (SDS).
- Demonstrates leadership through coaching and development of team(s) within a single job family; refers complex issues to higher salaried leadership levels
- Assists in developing training plans for employees within single job family.
- Meets all required quality standards to ensure only quality product is passed on to our consumers
Knowledge of:
- Major core functional processes and associated operating requirements
- Basic computer skills to include an ability to learn and use company MRP (JDE/DcLink), MES (CAC), and PMC systems, related software, databases and applications to include use of typical office suite software packages
